Transitional Kindergarten & Kindergarten Registration
for the 2013-14 School Year

Registration Begins March 1st

Kindergarten
Beginning in 2012, SB1381 (Kindergarten Readiness Act) moved the kindergarten entry date up by one month per year through 2014.  Children will be admitted to kindergarten for the 2013-14 school year if their birthday falls on or before Oct. 1, 2013.

Transitional Kindergarten
SB1381 also establishes Transitional Kindergarten (TK) as the first year of a two-year program that uses modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate.  Students eligible to participate in the TK program are those with fall birthdays for whom kindergarten is no longer available as the eligibility date moves forward.  A child is eligible for the TK program for the 2013-14 school year if his or her birthday is on or before Dec. 1, 2013.

School Safety

Please take the time to help Woodside School become as safe as possible by checking in at the office and wearing a visitor sticker whenever you are on campus during the school day (with the exception of drop off and pick up).  It is absolutely essential for the school office to know who is on campus in case of any kind of an emergency. By taking a few seconds to check into the office, we will know who is on campus, and we will be able to quickly recognize anyone without a visitor sticker.  Thank you for taking the time to keep our kids safe.
